Dubai all-inclusive vs room only: when each actually saves money

Dubai is not Turkey. All-inclusive exists, but it is the exception at city hotels and even at many beach properties where Atlantis and Jumeirah run strong à la carte dining you pay for separately. Buying AI you do not use is one of the easiest ways to overpay for a Dubai week.
Room-only and breakfast: the default that usually works
City hotels in Downtown, Business Bay and Marina are built for travellers who eat out. Breakfast-only or room-only keeps flexibility for dinners at JBR, DIFC or the mall food courts — and avoids paying for lunch you will skip because you are at the Burj Khalifa or a water park.
Rough guide for budgeting: a mid-range dinner for two in Marina or Downtown often lands around AED 250–400 (£55–£85) with soft drinks; hotel restaurant dinners can run higher once service is added.
All-inclusive at Dubai beach resorts
Genuine ultra all-inclusive is concentrated at a handful of Palm and beach resorts — Rixos The Palm is the name most often cited for a Turkey-style AI experience in Dubai. Fees to add on top of any board basis
